Allegra Hicks is an artist and designer, working in London and Naples with the naturalness of someone who has the gift of drawing out the diverse forms of poetry suggested by a place.

Not surprisingly, her ability to explore the natural landscape attracted and inspired us to create the two works presented at Edit Napoli 2020.

Allegra Hicks has designed a two-sided screen with ad-hoc setup.: on one side it has the “BAHIA” paper and on the other the “VITE” paper.

The Bahia paper is based on geometric motifs in motion, created by a texture of paper tissue, stucco relief, glazing and inlays that, together with golden powder, provide a narrative effect of refined composure.

The Vite paper is inspired by a naturalistic motif with glazes and drops of lacquer. Stucco reliefs in neutral tones emerge to make the work three-dimensional.
